MATERNITY, NEWBORN AND FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER BASED IN HERTFORDSHIRE
Hi, I’m Kim,
A warm & kind-hearted introvert with a passion for preserving memories through the seasons of mothering. I'm so honoured you've stopped by. I love working with women in all stages of mothering, capturing the journey from pregnancy, to newborn and family life.
As a Hertfordshire based family photographer, I’m deeply passionate about placing mothers in the frames of their children's memories. My work is centred around the mother & connection with her kin, from pregnancy through to daily life as a family. Having lost my mother at the age of 17, the very few photos that we have of her & us are my most valuable possession.
Discover My Story
gentle & intentional
I love to work with women in all seasons of mothering, telling stories of you & your loves in moments of connection to create imagery that is warm & heartfelt. My approach is gentle but with intention to story tell, holding space for you & your loves to simply be yourselves, taking time to be present in these fleeting days. What we create will be nothing short of nostalgic magic, to take you right back to that moment, after time has marched on.
Photography allows us to preserve precious memories that fade over time; they will one day become a gift to our children to be cherished for generations. I work to empower mothers, to feel their most beautiful, whilst being placed at the heart of their children's memories. Although an introvert, I love connecting with people during their sessions, my approach holds gentle intention & I work in a way that opens a safe space for my clients to feel confident, held & seen.
held & seen
I'm a mother to two young daughters, knee deep in the thick of it. My own season of mothering & the grief of losing my mother, two intertwined journeys that ebb & flow, is what has led me here. I have often found myself trying to piece together long forgotten moments that I swore I would never forget, scrabbling for words to write letters of love for my children to one day have. Imagery is a way of writing beautiful poetry to our children, for them to read over & over, and know how deeply they are loved.
in the thick of it
“I work in a way that both celebrates and empowers women.”
As mothers we are usually in our jeans & tees, speckled with drops of the day’s graft taking care of our littles; we rarely have a moment for ourselves. Don’t get me wrong, I hate my photo being taken as much as the next woman, it is how we’ve been socially conditioned to hold inner insecurities that make being photographed so uncomfortable. It can be a vulnerable process, to be in front of the camera, particularly at times when we’re still finding ourselves & not feeling our best. I have taken great care in building my business around the needs of mothers & I work in a way that celebrates & empowers women in pregnancy, postpartum & their season of mothering. My work holds mothers at the very heart, making them feel confident, beautiful & seen. For the ones who wouldn't usually throw a dress & flower crown on to dance in the woods, you deserve to. Mothers need to be captured with their children more often. Mothers need to be celebrated. With a little gentle guidance, I will capture you & your loves during my family photography sessions, artfully & timelessly, just as you are. There are stories to be told, I truly am the lucky one who helps you to tell it.
“I have taken great care in creating an experience that centres around the needs of mothers.”

MY EVERYTHING
Family, Cabins & Cats
When I’m not photographing I’m with my family, my husband Rob & our two young girls Chloe & Beth. We are very much knee deep in parenting, our days long & nights short; dancing with the stars & our early risers.
So most days are slow, we try to live intentionally with the seasons & find ourselves stepping back from the busy life we use to know. We’ve learnt not to have too high ambitions when it comes to making plans. If we make it out the house, we’ve achieved something that day. We’re happiest when we’re deep within the swaying of the pine trees in search of woodland fairies. We rescue hens most years, much annoyance for the cat
I love to cook wholesome food, and often share my love of cooking with my clients; the girls favourites are cold pressed oat & cacao balls. We have a love affair with treehouses, anywhere off the beaten track, so we try to take a trip to a different cabin each year. The rolling landscape of the Scottish Highlands feels like home & some of our most memorable trips were spent in Argyll; if you haven’t been you must go. You will fall in love just like we did.
“The moment a child is born, so is the mother. She never existed before.
The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new”
