A gentle & relaxed newborn photoshoot at home in Cambridge

This season of newborn love is so sacred & fleeting, lets take the time to honour it, honour you & their story. As a Cambridge newborn photographer, I take a gentle and relaxed approach to newborn photography when stepping into the home of newborn family life, new findings, new stories to tell, new beginnings. We will find a cosy space in your home, where the light is pretty, and we’ll capture this new chapter in your lives, in a gentle way that feels authentic to you. I will always ask if you’d like anything bringing, a home made dish or shopping… whatever I can do to help support you in a time of deep transition.

In the warmth of summer I travelled to a beautiful blossom tree lined street in Cambridge for a cosy session at home with Hannah, Ben & Olivia. This session was so special as I have had the honour of capturing Hannah, Ben & their two boys in Autumn the year before & again when Hannah was 36 weeks pregnant with Olivia. Hannah’s maternity session was all levels of inner goddess shining through, we had the most beautiful evening sharing stories of mothering & drinking tea as we captured her last pregnancy dancing in the pampas grass; I can’t wait to share those with you soon. To hold Hannah on the other side, after she had brought her daughter earthside, was just such a special moment. This session was so full of love & sweet joy at the birth of their little girl, we focused on portraits, little Olivia’s newborn details, and a celebration of Hannah’s third journey in postpartum. I am a strong advocate in empowering women to celebrate their postpartum bodies at any stage of their journey; be that in the early raw newborn days or months & years down the line. Our bodies are absolutely magical, to create, carry & birth new life; I’m forever in awe of all that women do & will always encourage you to celebrate that however you feel most comfortable.
