Being a mother of two I know how fleeting the newborn days are, the fragility of this season & how quickly your baby will change. You’ll want to bottle up these memories of them, however tiny they are. To remember the early days that were so deeply intertwined and full of tender nurturing, the days that felt oh so long and but the nights oh so short.
As a mother and newborn photographer, I encourage my clients to utilise my visit to bring with me supplies or some batch cooking; my aim is to give you a nurturing, relaxed & gentle experience to cherish forever, one you will look back on with fondness. You are also welcome to come to me, I have a beautiful home from home newborn photography studio in my Victorian house. The studio space is draped in linen and we’re treated to the loveliest soft light; the perfect backdrop for timeless lifestyle newborn photography with a warm & homely feel. My approach will be guiding you with intention, to let moments between you unfurl, sessions are an invitation to slow down & soak in this time together; capture heartfelt photos so full of love.
If we’re photographing at home, I tend to use small areas of your space, find where the light is pretty, and we can get cosy. I can bring with me a selection of dresses, as well as neutral tone hand knitted cashmere newborn pieces.
We will capture the very beginning of their story, a tiny chapter in this beautiful new life together, in a relaxed and honest way. Let’s document those sweet newborn days before they flicker by in the blink of an eye, the days you’ll want to hold onto & remember the most.

If you’d prefer the ease of coming to me, I have a cosy home from home newborn photography studio in my house on the outskirts of Hertfordshire. Filled with dry flowers & linens, I’ve created a timeless & boho feel to this beautiful homely space

All pre-session preparation which includes : A detailed session guide, zoom or telephone pre-session planning, reviewing the natural light within your home (via zoom) for home sessions.
A relaxed & gentle session at home or in my studio, usually 90mins, to include a variety of portraits and newborn details
Complimentary use of my client wardrobe dresses, heirloom newborn hand knitted pieces, swaddles & blankets
My editing time to produce a full gallery (approx 60 images) of hand edited fine art images to make your selections from
5 hand edited fine art digital images, chosen by you, from your private online gallery.
There is the option to purchase the full digital gallery, an array of beautiful fine art albums, prints & frames .
My travel to your home is included in the home session fee

How does booking a NEWBORN SESSION work?
If you're ready to book a session, click on the CONTACT FORM with as much information about your session dreams. Please make sure your email & contact number is filled in correctly so I can get in touch. Keep an eye on your JUNK folder as I tend to land there.
Once we've agreed on your session date, a £100 deposit & signed contract is needed to hold this in my diary, and then we're good to go.
what to expect?
About 4 weeks before your session you’ll receive a beautiful session guide to help get you ready for our time together. If I’m coming to you we can have a pre session catch up on the phone or over zoom. My sessions are gentle & laid back, always baby led; my intention is to give you a cherished experience. If you’re coming to my newborn studio, I’ll get the kettle on and pastries in the oven ready for your arrival
When is best to enquire?
I always recommend for newborn sessions, to reach out at the 20wk point of your pregnancy as I book up months in advance; particularly weekend slots. For newborn sessions, we pencil in a date 7-10 days after your due date. When little one arrives, we can adjust the date if needed.

I’m available for daytime sessions on a Tuesday, Thursday & Friday either at my home newborn photography studio near Hertfordshire. Most of my clients book a few hours off for their session or are still on leave for their newborn session. I can sometimes be flexible with these days, depending on childcare; please let me know on enquiry if you need a different day.
For outdoor location sessions these take place at either sunrise or sunset, when the light is most beautiful; they are held on a Thursday or Friday or weekends; I’ve very flexible with weather and leave plenty of wiggle room in my diary.

If a little rain doesn’t bother you, and it’s not an absolute downpour, we can still shoot. But if you’d rather not, we can move your session to the nearest available date in my diary. I keep a close eye on the weather in the run up to your session date & will keep in touch with you a few days prior if it’s looking like we need to reschedule.

My newborn baby and maternity studio is based in Biggleswade, it’s a timeless boho interior with a warm cosy feel. I use locations in the Biggleswade, Potton, Letchworth areas. I take a long time getting to know my locations as it’s important to understand how the landscape changes with the season as well as the movement of the light in the space; I also look for easy & safe access for clients. I’m always happy to travel, there are additional travel fees outside of 20 miles; I have had clients in the Lake District & Scotland as well as clients in Cambridge, Bedford, Hertfordshire & London. If I’m travelling with my family, I always share my dates on my social media & newsletters as this saves travel costs for you.
