I have had the privilege of capturing Amy and her beautiful family at their home in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. I have photographed Amy in her journey into motherhood from the very beginning when she was pregnant with little Olivia. To be welcomed back to photograph their baby girl Frankie was such an honour and joy to witness. As a newborn photographer, I am fortunate to witness some of life’s most precious transitions unfold, the most heartwarming and sentimental tender moments between people so in love. This newborn session was overflowing with love, joy and emotions. To capture their life’s big moments & new chapters was truly a blessing. This was an incredibly heartwarming morning as I knew how longed for sweet baby Frankie was & the journey Amy & Ed have been on to bring their daughter home.
I had the honour of capturing these sweet natural newborn photos in their home, adored by her parents & big sister Olivia. No two stories are the same & the journey into parenthood & growing your family can be full of beauty & heartbreak; I’m here to tell your family story through it all. For every newborn session it is my intention to create a safe space for you to be together, to breath it all in, to stop and reflect on the journey you’ve all been on to get here to this day; when given time and space true genuine connection and emotions flow. I truly believe that a gentle and nurturing photography session is such a beautiful way to connect and bond with your newborn baby, to shut out the world and simply be together. To celebrate you all.
Amy & Ed had a clear vision for what they wanted to capture during these precious newborn days, the fun & cheeky energy that Olivia brings, the giggles that they all have together as a family mixed with some incredibly emotional & sweet tender moments, Amy tenderly feeding Frankie as we chatted about Frankie’s arrival & her finally holding her babe in her arms. These early days are all consuming, as a mother and newborn photographer, I take a very gentle, nurturing & heartfelt approach to my newborn photography experience; bringing with me some nourishing goodies & your chosen pieces from my client wardrobe to take the stress of outfit planning away. My at home newborn photography sessions are relaxed & unhurried, we go with the flow of what you & your little one needs, gently documenting those teeny tiny details & precious portraits that will last a lifetime. I absolutely loved seeing Amy, Ed & Olivia again, watching them dote & adore baby Frankie, seeing her surrounded by her beautiful family, was incredibly emotional.
I am so honoured that I get to capture these precious moments, photos act as a portal back to these fleeting & hazy days; getting more & more precious as time rolls on.
