Newborn session at home in Tewin, Hertfordshire - Matt, Victoria & Sienna

A beautiful new chapter captured, a cosy at home newborn session in Tewin, Hertfordshire. Each story into parenthood is different, every story is beautiful, some hold challenges & some heartache. As a photographer and someone who loves to connect with other mothers, I love to share stories, there is so much unity & connection that comes from sharing of stories and I love to learn about how your baby is born. Victoria reached out to me quite early in her pregnancy to share theirs, she and Matt had been undergoing IVF for some time before Victoria fell pregnant on their final round. They knew that they wanted to document this miracle pregnancy & their daughter when she joined them earthside, and I was the lucky one who they entrusted to do this for them. We caught up on zoom one evening, both were beaming back at me ear to ear as we talked and shared visions of their maternity session, which I can’t wait to share with you. I remember feeling so overwhelmed with emotions during our evening catch up, I felt so unbelievably happy that this had finally happened fMy approach to newborn photographyor them & couldn’t wait to help them document this precious transition in their lives. It was such a special morning spent with Victoria, Matt & Sienna in the cosiness of Victoria’s mums home, we were able to capture some precious family & generation images for them to cherish forever. The sun was beaming on this day, the drive to their home in Tewin, through the country roads was so beautiful. Victoria & Matt really loved my studio work but wanted to recreate that at home, so I took everything to them & we set up in Victoria’s mums bedroom which was perfect for light with French double doors. We focused on creating beautiful timeless portraits & Sienna’s tiny details, less story telling, more portraiture led which I loved. My approach to newborn photography is very relaxed, baby & parent led, I love to create a mixture of storytelling and portrait images in which you can truly appreciate their tininess.
